Entering the Shrine

The party took out the skeletons guarding the shrine. They left Ganymede on the ship to keep an eye on it as it hovered fifty feet above the shrine. Caely tied rope to two chimneys on either side of the street to secure it’s position.

Upon entering the shrine, the party found another page of the shrine inside the holy scripture of Bahamut (June 10th 457).

The party entered the columbarium below the shrine. Biri found Eskel‘s remains and paid her respects. The party took a look at the other names. Ashok noticed that one of the names “Sedaf“ was the same as a legendary hero. Opening the box, Biri found a switch, which revealed a hidden door.

The party passed through into the Trial of Mirrors. Caely became trapped on the other side of the mirror first, followed by Biri. After a few false starts they both managed to retreat out of the room and arrive outside of the Trial of Faith.

Victory passed through the trial first. Midway through Biri’s attempt however, Victory flicked the lever that reversed the flow of flames and Biri was forced to make a fast turn to avoid serious burns. After flicking the lever back, the rest of the party made it to the mausoleum ante-chamber.

Black Mirror

The entry way to the Mausoleum was sealed by a flat, reflective black surface. The surface rippled when touched and appeared to be impenetrable.

The party stopped to take a rest and determine what their next course of action should be. As they were resting however, they started to hear footsteps from the other side of the black surface getting closer and closer.

A huge flood of skeletons burst into the room, followed by two undead ogres. The party managed to Turn Undead most of them and kill the rest, however it was a close thing, as Ashok was almost dragged through the black surface by the attackers.
