Factory Escape

Pre-session Bullshit

Ganymede found a beautiful hat, and they had very beautiful hat baby in a candle lit office.
While the team was pondering what to do within the Factory 37, the factory silently lifted into the the air and delivered the Mishaps back to the Situation. then it returned to its original form
Victory got a fire elemental in a shape of a doggo, which is very friendly and helps fire all the ships!!

The Distraction

The Mishaps (the new name for the party (Mildly Inquisitive Sailors and Heroes Adventuring Party (aka. Mysterious Incident Solvers Holding Arson Potential Solutions))) waited inside Factory 37 for about 15 minutes while Thoryl and Kasthelle leave.

The party heard some footsteps downstairs, there were some people in the building who were attempting to be very quiet. There were at least 2 people, but it sounded like they were the same people that were seen outside earlier.

Biri and Victory tried to go quietly down the stairs. Caely hid behind a machine away from the stairs.

As Biri and Victory exited, there didn’t seem to be anyone in the factory. Vic and Biri left through the gates. They found a way to get to behind the factory, so that the baddies would have to run as far as possible to see their distraction, giving Caely time to escape.

Biri found a piece of rusting pipe, and skilfully flung it over a fence to the side of the building. Should came from within the building and people started running towards the noise. Biri snuck away while Victory turned invisible and stayed to watch.

Caely heard the loud bang and heard the people run towards it. She tried to sneak down the stairs, managing to get out onto the streets of Gathernotch. Caely moved with haste through the streets, to her host’s house. It didn’t seem like she was followed.

Faked Reaction

Victory watched as the two dwarves that ran out of the factory looked around for the disturbance, seemingly annoyed an confused.

Far away from the factory, Biri cast clairvoyance to see two male dwarves, one with fair skin and blond hair, the other one with darker skin and black dreads with gold pieces in his beard. They seemed to be arguing about who missed the party members. Biri picked up that this was a performance, an not a real argument.

Biri used sending to Victory and Caely: “Get out as soon as possible, the two we saw are acting. Be quick, be safe.”

Victory responded: “Don’t go to the Situation alone, wait for me by the Bellows”

Caely responded: “Think I am clear, no flowers. Will return to Amdek and talk tomorrow. Stay safe.”

Biri is now visible, but she didn’t see anyone following her. She took a non direct route to the Bellows and waits for Victory.

‘Intimidation’

Victory made her way to the actors, sneaking back through the front gate invisible. No one else seemed to be around.

She tried to intimidate the people by saying: “Who hired you, tell me or you will regret it”, however they didn’t seem fazed, and they started to search in the direction of Victory’s voice. Victory cast shatter, but they were still not intimidated. They came for Victory but missed.

Victory then attempted to use the flame hands that she learned with Agni Magmin, while staring at them angrily. However, that was still not enough to make them back away. Victory said: “Who hired you? I don’t want to hurt you!”

However, the dwarves did not stop attacking, and Victory turned into mist and started going towards the building.

Around the corner, Nildred came running, having seen what happened. Victory took a few points of damage from Nildred and the dwarves, but remained her misty self. Once she realised that the man with the golden beard was the one that left the office with Nildred from Ganymede’s story, she started making her way over to the Bellows.

Biri and Victory both headed over to the Situation, where Victory told Biri what happened. Biri knew that beard jewellery is not uncommon in Gathernotch, but it can mean various things. Sometimes they’re religious runes, other times they’re just decoration. Kathselle had similar ones on her beard.

Research

The next morning, Caely headed over to the Situation, and passed the time while Biri and Victory were asleep by knitting a long scarf.

Biri’s colours were touched up, but she was still looking pretty blue. Victory turned into a goth tiefling with black/purple galaxy-like skin and dark hair. Caely turned into a bulky male human. Both were ready for some intimidation.

Biri was not going on the mission to pretend to be Arbitrators and asked around to find a local temple. She started looking around for information about the goddess Haela and any cults or subgroups that were known (historically) to have worshipped Haela.

Biri is directed to the Great Library and there she discovers that:

Haela is known as the goddess of battle, and was wed to Hanseath, the god of war. Both were highly respected and worshipped by the Kirkja Karaad clan.
Haela was known as the Luck Maiden and Lady of the Fray.
In order to control and expand, Kirkja Karaad would use spies and a hidden network. There were no records of the name of this network. The notes were destroyed, there was a battle at the end of the Third Clan war, and the histories were burned. After the Khro Ardol formed, what was done was done and everyone moved on.
