With some downtime the party split up for a while.

Biri and Ashok

Biri learns that time in the Seam does not match up with time outside of the Seam. Ashok is actually far younger than she is outside of the Seam, born long after she disappeared.

Victory Studies

Victory studies in the Hallowdawn library about the gems. Jarvis is also in the library, though somewhat more illegally, having broken in from the outside to look for books on poisons.

Having reviewed the documents, Victory decided that the next stop was Gathernotch, tracking down rumours of an alchemist and strange noises coming from his workshop at night.

An agent of the Hallowdawn in Gathernotch, Claudia Rex has located someone who may have a lead on the Planar Gem of Mechanus.

Her report mentions an alchemist who is receiving constant orders of copper, iron and brightsteel from the various foundries around the city. At night sounds of clanking and marching can be heard within their workshop.

Dealing with Ugosk

Caely and Biri headed to Gathernotch earlier than the rest of the party, the day after the meeting. Caely needed to complete her quest from her patron. Caely had been getting rather uncomfortable dreams every night since she was given this goal.

They arrived in Gathernotch on the evening of the 26th. Through the help of her friend Hannah Bluebottle, they found Ugosk the next day.

Ugosk, a rather resolute half-orc with half-moon glasses, was working in a jewellery shop. Upon seeing the flower, he realised why Caely was here. When he realised that Caely had no idea what was about to happen. He warned her not to forget this moment, and to be very careful about following Titania.

As Ugosk reached for the flower, it’s metal stem pierced his skin and began to flood and extend through his entire body, tearing him apart from the inside out before the gem flower eventually protruded from his gaping mouth. Killing him. Shocked, Biri and Caely left the scene and waited for Victory, Flint and Jarvis to arrive on the 28th.
