Rough Night

Biri went to the Brightsteel Blue and met up with Lyesnis and her chatty friend. They had been celebrating her engagement to Torg and were incredibly hung over, or at least her chatty friend was, as she was passed out on the table.

Biri proceeded to visit the police line and managed to identify a taller dwarf wearing a fedora and an overcoat that seemed to be in charge of the investigation.

Meanwhile, Caely went to the Amoruk, to try and convince one of the clerks that she was the grand-daughter of the deceased alchemist. She was able to persuade the clerk to show her the body. It turns out that Brurro had died due to blunt trauma to the back of the head. His body had been found in a way that suggested he fell down the stairs in his factory.

Without hard evidence proving that Caely was to be left the items in Brurro’s possession, Caely was unable to get any of the belongings he had on him, including the gem.

Jarvis is a rogue

Having been shown the dwarf in charge of the investigation, Jarvis disguised himself as him and then snuck into the factory.

Inside the factory, the real dwarf in charge Bobby Fisher was already investigating, speaking in third person as he did. Jarvis broke a machine to fill the room with steam in order to sneak past him, and by the skin of his teeth he avoided being detected. The real Bobby left, leaving Jarvis free to investigate.
