Meeting Mother

The party escorted Jacob to meet Elizabeth. Elizabeth had her revenge and angrily killed Jacob in revenge for her killing him. Biri managed to cast ‘Gentle Repose’ within a minute of the death, buying the party ten days to find someone to revive him.

Before moving on to the other side, Elizabeth Parkin conveyed that the gem had been discovered by Artemis, Jordan and Luren Elwynn a few months ago. Artemis and Jordan realised that this could be an opportunity to take revenge on the Red Hand. Luren disagreed, considering the power too dangerous. Artemis and Jordan killed him and left his body just outside of the woods.

With the culprits now known, the party came up with a plan:

1. Deal with the beast
2. Speak to Nigel and ask him to say the Governor has taken ill
3. Go to Velour, speak to the head of the temple
4. Return with someone who can Revivify.
5. Do this all with 10 days.

Field Work

As the party walked back to the edge of the woods they overheard guards patrolling. It seemed that Caely’s charm person effect had worn off on the Governor’s wife, and now she had sent out the entire garrison to stalk the edge of the woods and try to find the party.

The party started to stealth their way across the fields, splitting up to make it easier. However, Caely and Biri were spotted, and after an extended pursuit, Biri was captured. Caely managed to flee through a wheat field.

Victory had also escaped, but when she saw that Biri had been captured, she disguised herself as the Governor and successfully convinced the head of the guards that all was well. She told them that ‘he’ was going on a secret mission with party and wouldn’t be seen for at least ten days. Thoroughly dressed down, the head guard order Biri to be taken to the Shrine of Pelor to recover from her injuries.
