Remove Cursed Voyage

On the two day journey back to Velour.

• Caely practiced navigating through the black, dipping down away from the chalks to get used to helming without references (20/100)
• Victory continued her horn headbutt practice (42/100)
• Biri continued to practice her sailing skills (42/100)

After coyly coming over to Biri, Victory’s lycanthropy curse was removed. Caely initially refused to take the same offer, she she does tell Biri that she had bitten. Biri noticed that Caely’s personality had started to shift. She was becoming more amicable and less… suspicious. After realising this shift was most likely due to the curse, Biri cured Caely’s lycanthropy too. Once she was back, Caely re-hid all of her stolen goods.

The party investigated the Gem, however none of them were able to attune to it.

One night, Biri confessed to the party that she might be the downfall of her whole religion. Recanting the story of the Black Flame Heresy. Caely comforted Biri with an illegal blanket, and Victory patted her back with a mage hand. Victory also tried to cheer Biri up with a tale of a band of bards she once knew. Their names were R, E and M, and they had a song called ‘Losing my Religion’. When this didn’t work, Victory tried unsuccessfully to spike Biri with Moondust.

The party took 50 platinum each from the reward, and left the other 50 in party funds.

They arrived back in Velour at night, two days after leaving Poplin.

A Dark Cloud

Biri returned to rest at the Temple of Bahamut. She donated 10 platinum to the safe, and then headed straight to bed.

She was awoken the next morning by a surprised Ashok. He was relieved to have Biri back. He told Biri that his dreams had been getting worse, and asked for her help in getting to the outpost that he was seeing in his dreams. He described seeing large machinery at this outpost. As well as swathes of the dead, and the undead. Biri returned to The Circumstances and managed to convince the party to help out.

On the way back to the temple, Biri ordered a chain mail shirt from a local blacksmith run by a half-orc woman. She paid 25G upfront and has 25G left to pay later on. The order would take three days to complete, with an expected completion date of the 25th March.

When the party arrived, Ashok was already waiting, wearing a breast plate and adventurers gear, with a sword across his knees.

Victory remembered a rumour about an outpost that was abandoned after people started dying. The locals that survived described a demon, or a dark cloud, and everyone had to flee or be killed. Victory and Biri left to visit the Hallowdawn, in an attempt to get more information, and Caely left to acquire deep black navigation instruments.

Tofiz Engineering

Caely found a family run business called Tofiz engineering. After a discussion with the proprietor and his family, Caely arranged for the instruments to be installed later that day. Caely spent 135G on the instruments, having acquired a discount after swearing that they would be used to attempt to save the Seam. They shook on this, creating a geas.
